Q4EDU presented during the “European Research and Innovation Days” – 23 and 24 June 2021

Most economists and analysts state that the global health crisis due to Covid-19 has had a great impact on economies. Although the exact damage cannot be estimated yet, statistics show that the negative effect will cause great money loss and a decline in the employment rate and, as a result, in the productivity.

At the same time, we live in an era in which topics such as green technology, digitalization, global cooperation, research and innovation are in the agenda not only of almost every national and international entity, but also of European governments.

In this context, Europe and its various organisations look for ways to respond to all these challenges. European Research and Innovation Days, Europe’s largest research and innovation event, is one of them. Mariya Gabriel, Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth states that “The 2021 edition of the European Research and Innovation Days could not have come at a more important time. Together, we can recover from the coronavirus pandemic and ensure a green and digital future for everyone”.

Among all topics to be discussed were Covid-19 response recovery, funding opportunities, skills and education, research and innovation. Atlantis Engineering participated in the event as a member of the consortium of Q4EDU Erasmus+ project, presenting the Q4EDU aim, i.e. to eliminate the existing gap of no framework to assess the digital readiness at VET level as well as the main objectives of the project, i.e. to provide the novel Q4EDU framework and to develop training content and the Digital Readiness Assessment Tool. Finally, with their participation in R&I Days different thoughts on digital readiness for VET schools and its significance were shared while learning from others who have experience in this field.
